Purple Haze, a three-piece blues band was formed more than 15 years ago. Each member is a veteran with more than 3 decades in the business, having performed from North to South of the peninsula, Sabah and Sarawak. Although the band’s music is blues-based, they also venture into other genres, catering to the needs and demands of the pub and club audiences. Their repertoire includes blues, classic rock, reggae and rock n roll.
Alex Terry is an Australian blues harmonica player and vocalist who specialises in the big amplified tone of the Chicago blues. He is a blues front-man who sings and plays blues classics, all performed with taste and raw power. On numerous tours through the U.S., Alex has met, learned from and played with blues harmonica greats such as James Cotton, Willie Foster, Joe Filisco, Kim Wilson and Gary Primich. He regularly performs with bands at international music festivals.
